In individual therapy, I support high-achieving Black women and other POC who want to be free from old ways of thinking and live more authentically. Often, the pressures from the outside world and the voice of our inner critic prevent us from fully being ourselves. Individual therapy is an opportunity to explore more about yourself and reconnect with the person you are and have always been.
Maybe you are feeling very worried often, have thoughts that won’t slow down, or you feel unsure of yourself in making decisions. You may be experiencing a major life transition or grieving a loss and feel overwhelmed by the ways this change is affecting your mood or your ability to complete your daily tasks. Maybe you’re feeling tapped out by social or emotional challenges you face related to your racial/cultural identity or surviving generational/systemic oppression. If it feels like any of these things are keeping you from living fully, individual therapy may offer you the support you’re looking for.
I am able to provide care that is specific to your strengths and needs and follows your lead. We will work together and go at your own pace in exploring possible solutions to the challenges you are facing. In individual therapy, I am also able to provide opportunities for movement and creative expression exercises to further strengthen the connections between your mind, body, and spirit as you heal.
